Haider Ebrahimi, the janitor of the Kamiyaran wrestling house, was arrested by the Iranian government forces after being fired from his job for allegedly participating in the funeral of one of the victims of the recent protests. This issue has led to the collective resignation of the wrestling board in this city.
According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, Haider Ebrahimi, the janitor of Kamiyaran Wrestling House, was arrested by the Iranian government forces and taken to an unknown location.
On Sunday, January 8, 1401, he received the order to evacuate his house in the area of the wrestling house in Kamiyaran city.
Following the issuance of this verdict, the members of the Kamiyaran wrestling board, in a letter of protest to the head of the sports and youth department of this city, announced their resignation en masse.
According to Hengaw’s sources, the order to evacuate this citizen's house was issued by the sports and youth department of this city due to his attendance at the funeral of Foad Mohammadi, one of the victims of the Kamiyaran popular uprising.
