Hossein Ekhtiarian and Mohammad Ekhtiarian, two Kurdish brothers from Khorramabad who were seriously injured during detention, are still in Khorramabad Central Prison without medical care after four months.

According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Hossein Bakhtiaran is still kept in Khorram Abad prison despite a broken hand. Despite being shot by government forces during his arrest, his brother Mohammad Ekhtiarian was transferred to the prison of this city after a short transfer to "Ashair" hospital in Khorramabad and is still there.

According to informed sources, the current physical and mental conditions of these two imprisoned brothers are unfavorable due to injuries sustained during detention and not completing the full course of treatment.

The reports indicate that Hossein Ekhtiarian is on a hunger strike in protest against the conditions of detention in Khorram Abad Central Prison.

These two brothers were arrested on Thursday, October 28, 2022, during Nika Shakrami's 40th day death anniversary. They were injured due to beatings and bullet wounds during detention.
