Sajjad Moradivandan, one of the detained citizens of the recent protests in Abdanan has stitched his lips to protest against his case’s abeyance in the Iranian intelligence detention center in Ilam.
According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Sajjad Moradivandan, a detained citizen from Abdanan, has stitched his lips since Tuesday, March 14, 2023, as a sign of protest against the lack of processing of his case and his abeyance in the Iranian Intelligence Detention Center in Ilam.
Sajjad Moradivandan, a Kurdish citizen from Abdanan, was arrested on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, after government forces raided a garden house near Masjed Suleiman and since then he has been denied the right to access a lawyer and visit his family.
It should be mentioned that this prisoner has stitched his lips while he needs to take his medicines daily. About one month ago he went on a hunger strike to protest the status of his case, and after four days, he conditionally broke his hunger strike with a video conference with the Chief Justice of Ilam Province and the promise of following up on his case.
