Golrokh Ebrahimi Irani, a former political prisoner and one of the detainees of the Jina popular uprising, was sentenced to 7 years in prison and additional punishments by the Tehran Revolutionary Court.
 
According to the report received by the Hengaw Human Rights Organization, Golrokh Ebrahimi Irani, from Tehran, was recently sentenced to 6 years in prison by branch 26 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court headed by Judge Iman Afshari for the charge of "assembly and collusion" and for the charge of "propaganda against the regime", she has been sentenced to a year in prison.
 
Also, this court has sentenced Golrokh Ebrahimi Irani to 2 years of ban on leaving the country, 2 years of ban on presence in Tehran, 2 years of ban on participation in parties and groups, and confiscation of her mobile phone.
 

According to the issued verdict and the Consolidation of Sentences Law, the most severe sentence has been considered, that is, 6 years of imprisonment will be applicable for this citizen if confirmed at the appeal stage.
 

This former political prisoner was arrested and beaten by government forces at her home on Monday, September 26, 2022. She was finally transferred to the women's ward of Evin prison on November 29, 2022. She is currently imprisoned in Evin prison, and due to avoid writing a letter of pardon, she has been deprived of the right to temporary release or release on bail until the end of the proceedings.
 

Government institutions previously arrested Golrokh Ebrahimi Irani in the past and she was sentenced to prison by the judicial system of the Islamic Republic.
