Hengaw warns about the imminent execution of six Arab political prisoners in the Shiban prison of Ahwaz

Six Arab political prisoners named Ali Majdam, Mohammad Reza Moghadam, Moin Khanfari, Habib Daris, Adnan Ghobishavi, and Salem Mousavi were transferred to Shiban prison in Ahwaz to have their death sentences carried out. These prisoners have already been sentenced to death by the Iranian Judiciary.
 

According to the report received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on the morning of Saturday, 6 May 2023, Ali Mojdam, Mohammad Reza Moghadam, Moin Khanfari, Habib Dris, Adnan Ghobishavi and Salem Mousavi, six Arab political activists sentenced to death were transferred to the quarantine of Shiban prison in Ahwaz to have their death sentences carried out. 
 

The death sentences of Ali Mojdam, Mohammad Reza Moghadam, Moin Khanfari, Habib Daris, Adnan Ghobishavi, and Salem Mousavi were issued by Branch 4 of Iranian Islamic Revolutionary in Ahwaz Court on Tuesday, February 14, 2023.
 

These six prisoners have previously been forced to confess under severe torture to "transferring foreign currency and remittances through a foreign bank and armed attacks" and are associated with the "Harakah al-Nidal" political movement.
 

The Iranian judiciary has claimed that these six Arab political prisoners killed two Basij members, a member of the police force, and a soldier in several separate operations.
 

Ali Mojdam, Mohammad Reza Moghadam, Moin Khanfari, Habib Daris, Adnan Ghobishavi, and Salem Mousavi were arrested in the winter of 2017, at the same time as the massive labor protests in Khuzestan province, and were later transferred to Shiban prison.
 

In this regard and simultaneously with the transfer of these prisoners today, Habib Farajollah Chaab, a dual citizen who was kidnapped and taken to Iran three years ago by the Iranian government institutions with the cooperation of some organized crime cartels, was executed.
