Athlete Mokhtar Bahmani was detained again by government forces in Sanandaj

Mokhtar Bahmani, a Sanandaj-based athlete and bodybuilding trainer who was also detained during the "Jin, Jiyan, Azadi" (woman, life, freedom) uprisings, was arrested by government forces in this city and taken to an unknown place.
 

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Mokhtar Bahmani, a trainer and athlete, was arrested by the government's forces in front of the Banta Abidar shopping mall in Sanandaj on Saturday, May 13, 2023.
 

Mr. Bahmani was beaten and arrested by government forces while attempting to defend two girls who were being detained by two officers on the 6th street of Bahman in Sanandaj, an informed source told Hengaw.
 

On Sunday, October 3, 2022, during the "Jin, Jiyan, Azadi" (woman, life, and freedom) uprisings in Sanandaj, Mokhtar Bahmani was arrested by government forces. After a period of imprisonment, he was released from Sanandaj Central Prison on bail.
