The death sentence of a Balouch prisoner, Hasan Brahui, who was sentenced to death previously on charges of drug-related crimes, was carried out in Gorgan Central Prison.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, the death sentence of Hasan Brahui, 33 years old, from Zabol, Sistan, and Balouchestan province, was executed in Gorgan Central Prison.
This prisoner, who was the father of four children, was arrested five years ago on charges of drug-related crimes and sentenced to death by the judiciary system of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
At the time of this reporting, the government-associated media outlets, particularly those affiliated with the judiciary, had not announced the execution of this Balouch prisoner.
