A prisoner in Zabol died because of a lack of medical care

Hasan Hashemi Moghadam, a prisoner at the central prison of Zabol and from this city, passed away as a result of delayed medical care and transportation to medical facilities.

According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Hassan Hashemi Moghadam, a prisoner from Zabul who was imprisoned in this city's central prison and had a severe heart condition, passed away from lack of medical care on Thursday, June 29, 2023.
 

This prisoner was detained in Zabul about a year ago on charges of drug-related crimes, and the Islamic Republic of Iran's judicial system ultimately sentenced him to a ten-year prison term.
 

Due to the prison personnel's delays and the severity of the heart attack, Hasan Hashemi Moghadam, who had lately been transferred to a semi-open prison, passed away just before arriving at the hospital.
 

Regarding this, the authorities in Zahedan alleged that this prisoner "got in the ambulance with his own feet and passed away on the route, despite all the efforts made by the medical personnel."
