Seyed Tareq Hosseini, a religious studies student from Javanroud who had previously been sentenced to three years in prison by the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran, has been arrested and subsequently transferred to Dizel Abad Prison in Kermanshah to serve his sentence.
 

According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, On Saturday, July 15, 2023, Seyyed Tareq Hosseini, a religious activist and student hailing from Javanroud, was apprehended and subsequently transferred to Dizel Abad prison in Kermanshah to serve a three-year prison sentence.
 

In mid-May 2023, Sayed Tareq Hosseini was sentenced to three years in prison by the 4th branch of the Kermanshah Revolutionary Court. The charges brought against him were "propaganda activity against the regime" and "cooperation with groups opposed to the Iranian regime."
 

This religious activist was apprehended by the intelligence forces in his residence, situated in the city of Javanroud, during the "Jin, Jiyan, Azadi" (Woman Life Freedom) Revolution on Sunday, January 29, 2023. Subsequently, he underwent interrogation for a period of time at the detention center of the intelligence department in Kermanshah.
 

It is worth mentioning that Seyyed Tareq Hosseini was denied access to legal representation and other fundamental rights, and he endured severe torture throughout the entirety of his detention period.
