With the execution of Amir Islamdoost, a prisoner previously sentenced to death on charges of premeditated murder, in Urmia prison, the total count of executed prisoners in this facility has now reached a total of two individuals.
According to the information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, At dawn on Thursday, July 13, 2023, the death sentence of Amir Islamdoost, hailing from Urmia, was carried out in the central prison of this city.
He had previously been arrested for murder and subsequently received a death sentence from the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Previously, Hengaw reported the execution of another prisoner named Hossein Dolkhani in Urmia prison on Thursday. Hossein Dolkhani, hailing from Showt city, was arrested six years ago on the charge of murdering his sister and subsequently sentenced to death.
