The death sentences of Abdul Ghaffar Sheikhi, a Baloch prisoner, and an Afghan citizen, who were previously sentenced to death for drug-related charges, were carried out in Kerman Central Prison. Also, the death sentence of a prisoner named Jabar Moslemi was carried out in Qazvin Central Prison.
According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Monday, August 7, 2023, the death sentences of Abdul Ghafar Shahiki, 38 years old, from Khash, Sistan-Baluchistan province, and another prisoner from Afghanistan, were carried out in the central prison of Kerman.
According to Halvash News, Abdul Ghafar Sheikhi, who was the father of two children, was arrested two years ago in Kerman for drug-related charges and later sentenced to death by the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Court of this city. Another executed prisoner from Afghanistan, whose identity is under investigation, was previously arrested and sentenced to death on similar charges.
Yesterday, the death sentence of 35-year-old Jabar Moslemi was also carried out in Qazvin Central Prison. Three years ago, he was arrested on the charge of "premeditated murder" and sentenced to death by the Iranian Judiciary.
