Roya Zakeri, whose video circulated under the title "Tabriz Girl" earlier this week, was transported to Tabriz's Razi Psychiatric Hospital following an assault by authorities and is now subject to strict security measures that disallow any visits.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Roya Zakeri, hailing from Marand, was transferred to Razi Hospital in Tabriz four days ago. Her admission coincided with state media claims of her having a "mental disorder." Consequently, security authorities have imposed a ban on visitations to her.

Roya Zakeri, aged 31 and holding a degree in computer science, currently resides in the women's section of Razi Hospital under undisclosed conditions.

Mrs. Zakeri was apprehended by the security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran on Manjam Street in Tabriz on Sunday, October 15. Subsequently, she was transported to the hospital by ambulance. Just one day after her arrest, government media asserted that she suffered from a "mental illness."

Last year, Roya Zakeri was detained for a month during the Women, Life, Freedom Movement in late October. In a video about her arrest, she attests to enduring a hunger strike lasting five days and nights during that detention period. She was apprehended by security forces in front of Tabriz University and subsequently confined to Tabriz Central Prison.
