Hamed Palizvan, a resident of Aligudarz in Lorestan province who was also detained during the Women, Life, Freedom movement, has been arrested and taken to prison to serve a three-year sentence. This arrest follows his earlier sentencing, attributed to charges related to the July 2021 protests, during which his nephew, Omid Azarkhosh, lost his life.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights on Sunday, December 24, 2023, Hamed Palizvan was arrested and transferred to the local prison after receiving a summons from the Aligudarz execution of sentences branch. The three-year sentence was previously handed down by the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran, connected to alleged offenses during the July 2021 protests.

Hamed Palizvan faced initial arrest by security forces amid the July 2021 protests in Aligudarz city, resulting in a one-year prison sentence. In the same series of events, his nephew Omid Azarkhosh, 23 years old, tragically lost his life due to direct fire from security forces on the evening of Thursday, July 22, 2021. Hamed Palizvan, arrested during these protests, experienced a period of detention in the facilities of security institutions.

Subsequently, on November 11, 2022, during the Women, Life, Freedom movement, Hamed Palizvan was arrested again in Aligudarz and later transferred to Khorramabad prison. After spending some time in detention, he was released. In a separate court case related to the same movement, he has faced additional accusations.
