62 Year Old Prisoner Dies in Urmia Prison Due to Lack of Medical Assistance

Hengaw: a senescent prisoner died due to lack of medical assistance in Urmia's central prison.

On Satureday, December 1, Hossein Atri son of Naser after having been transferred to Urmia's central prison medical center died due to absence of medical staff, based on the report of Hengaw Organisation for Human Rights.

Hossein Atri was arrested 2 months before to pay 1.5 million Tomans penalty to the government. He was jailed in ward 10 of Urmia's central prison.

From January 2017, at least 8 citizens in Urmia' prison and intelligence office of the city have died, so far.
