Keivan Rahimian, a Baha'i college professor currently in detention, has been sentenced to nine years in prison and additional penalties by the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the 58-year-old Keivan Rahimian was handed a five-year imprisonment term for "anti-Islamic activities" and an additional four years for charges of "collusion and conspiracy against national security" by the 15th branch of the Tehran Revolutionary Court.

According to the verdict, Rahimian will also face six years of social rights exclusion and a fine of fifty million Iranian tomans.

Under the law of sentence consolidation, Rahimian will serve a total of five years of rigorous imprisonment.

Keivan Rahimian, who holds a master's degree in psychology, previously served five years in detention for charges related to national security in 2012. He was released from Karaj Gohar Dasht (Rajai Shahr) prison in 2017 after completing his sentence.
