One Kurdish Porter Killed, Two Injured in Iran This Week

Hengaw: Iranian security forces killed one Kurdish porter (better known as Kolbar in Kurdish), and injured two others in the past two days this week.

Hengaw: Iranian security forces killed one Kurdish porter (better known as Kolbar in Kurdish), and injured two others in the past two days this week.

According to the information obtained by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Iranian border guards opened fire at a group of porters overnight Saturday, 7th July, and killed one porter in the border areas near Sardarsht, Western Azerbaijan province.

The victim was identified as Mansour Kirzha, 21.

Elsewhere in Kelashin area, near Piranshahr township of Western Azerbaijan Province, Iranian border guards injured two porters.

Reports to Hengaw revealed the identity of the victims as Gharib Alizadeh, 38, from Piranshahr, and Saman Sour, 28, from Mahabad.

Eyewitnesses said they came under Iranian fire while carrying goods inside the territories of Kurdistan Region.
