HENGAW — Iranian authorities on Sunday (4th August 2019) executed a young Kurdish man who was found guilty in a murder case committed when he was under the legal age of 18.
According to the reports received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Hamid Avesti was executed early morning today in the central prison of Kermanshah.
He was 24 years old at the time of his execution. He was issued a death penalty over a murder case when he was only 17 years old.
Avesti was from Sefid Zangur village of Sanqar, in Kermnshah province.
He spent the last six years behind the bars in Dizel-Abad prison.
