Hengaw: A Kurdish citizen from the Marivan district of Kurdistan province who was grazing his cattle on the borders of this city has been killed by direct fire from the Iranian Armed forces.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Human Rights Organization, on Thursday, June 24, 2021, a citizen from the village of "Eskol" in Marivan, identified as "Mohammad Hosseini", 28-year-old, son of Kamal son was killed by direct fire from the Iranian Armed forces while grazing his cattle near the borders of this city.

According to an informed source, the Iranian forces stationed at the Kani Kaboud police station in Marivan shot and killed the shepherd at close range without any prior warning.

According to statistics recorded by the Statistics and Data Documentation Center of the Hengaw Human Rights Organization, in the last 6 months (since the beginning of 2021), at least 8 Kurdish civilians have been killed in cities of Iranian Kurdistan by direct fire from the Iranian Armed Forces.
