Hengaw: A Kurdish civilian has been killed by explosive remnants of Iran-Iraq eight years war in Mehran.

According to a report received by Hengaw  Human Rights Organization, on Friday, February 12, 2021, a Kurdish civilian  lost his life in a landmine explosion near the North Hilaleh military base in the Mimek region  of ​​Mehran district in Ilam province, Iranian Kurdistan.

Hengaw’s correspondent  in Ilam has  announced the identity of this citizen as "Nader Bararan", 45 years old, from the village of "Kolkol Olya" in the Chardavol district of Ilam province.

According to the statistics registered in the Statistics and Documentation Data Center of Hengaw Human Rights Organization, during 2020, at least 8 Kurdish civilians were killed and Injured by landmine explosions in border areas of Mehran, 3  of whom lost their lives and 8 injured .
