Hengaw: Ten days after a boat carrying refugees sank between France and Britain, a young man from Sardasht was identified.

According to a report by the Hengaw, Human Rights Organization, Sirvan Alipour, a 23-year-old man from Sardasht, was one of the asylum seekers who drowned when a boat carrying refugees in the English Channel between France and Britain, Sirvan Alipour, left his homeland for Britain this summer.

On the morning of Wednesday, November 25, 2021, a boat carrying asylum seekers with 33 passengers sank in the English Channel; only two survived.

According to the statistics registered in the Statistics and Documentation Center of Hengaw, since the beginning of 2021, at least 8 Kurdish refugees from Kermanshah, Thalas Babajani, Marivan (3 cases) and Sardasht (3 cases) have died while going to Europe. Among those who drowned were two women.
