Mohammad Salimi, 28, one of the environmental activists from Saqqez, who was previously sentenced to 11 months in prison by the judicial system, was arrested after being summoned to the Enforcement of sentences of the Saqqez Revolutionary Court on Saturday, August 13, 2022, and was transferred to Saqqez Central Prison to serve his sentence.
 

Mohammad Salimi was arrested on Tuesday, February 8, at his workplace by Saqqez intelligence forces without presenting any legal document and was taken to the detention center of this security institution in Sanandaj. He was finally released from prison after two months of detention on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, with a bail of 300 million Tomans.
 

In May, the Kurdish activist was sentenced to 11 months in prison by branch 1 of the Saqqez Revolutionary Court, headed by Javad Mostafaei on the charge of propaganda against the regime.
 

After the objection, the sentence was reduced to 2 years of suspended imprisonment and 83 days of imprisonment by the Court of Appeal.
