The number of Kurdish citizens arrested for participating in Newroz celebrations increases in Baneh

Hengaw: With the identification of another destined citizen in Baneh district of Kurdistan province, the number of detainees in this city has reached 5, and it is likely to increase.

According to a report received by Hengaw  Human Rights Organization, another citizen, identified as "Jalil Khodaei", was arrested by Iranian security forces in the village of "Yaqubabad" on Thursday, March 25, 2021.

A source from Baneh confirmed the news to Hengaw, telling reporters that the number of detainees is  likely to increase.

The identities of these five detainees are as follows;

1- Hawgin Ghaderi,  30-year-old

2- Parviz Ghaderi, 26-year-old

3- Rebwar Ghaderi, 34-year-old

4- Behrooz Ghaderi, 30-year-old

5- Jalil Khodaei, 24-year-old

 

These five citizens have been transferred to an unknown location after their arrest, and despite the ongoing persecution of their families, no information is available on their whereabouts or fate.

In recent days, more than ten other citizens have been arrested in the cities of Marivan, Sanandaj and Oshnaviyeh for this reason, only one of whom has been released.
