Three Kurdish Porters Killed, Injured by Iranian Forces

HENGAW — One Kurdish porter was killed and two others were injured in the past few days along the border between Iranian Kurdistan and the Kurdistan Region.

According to the information obtained by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Iranian forces opened fire at a group of porters near Shno, Western Azerbaijan, on Saturday, killing one porter and injuring another.

“Rebwar Omarzadeh” was killed and “Rasool Goran” was wounded in the shooting.

Near the border areas of Piranshahr, Western Azerbaijan province, Iranian forces injured another porter, who was later transferred to a hospital in Urmia as his health condition was critical.

He was identified by Hengaw as Majid Khalidzadeh, 28.
