Two Arabs arrested by security forces in Ahvaz

Two Arab men from Ahvaz, Mostafa Helichi and Mokhtar Alboshokeh, were summoned and arrested by security forces. Both individuals were transferred to the cyber police detention centre.

According to reports received by the Hengaw Organisation for Human Rights, Mustafa Helichi, a poet and civil activist, was summoned and arrested by the cyber police approximately 20 days ago, accused of communicating with political activists abroad.

Additionally, about a week ago, Mokhtar Alboshokeh, a political activist from Ahvaz, was arrested by the cyber police and transferred to the cyber police detention centre.

The Karun Human Rights Organisation states that Mokhtar Alboshokeh was arrested due to a phone call he received from Mostafa Helichi from Sheiban Prison. He has since been returned to Sheiban Prison.

According to informed sources, these two Arab political activists were subjected to severe torture while detained in the cyber police detention centre.
