Kurdish women's rights activist Sairan Khosravi arrested by Security Forces in Sanandaj

Sairan Khosravi, a women’s rights activist from Sanandaj, has been arrested by security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran and transferred to an undisclosed location.

According to a report received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Sairan Khosravi was detained in the early hours of Tuesday, November 19, 2024, by agents of the Intelligence Department in Sanandaj.

A reliable source revealed that the security forces entered Khosravi’s home in Sanandaj, using intimidation tactics, and arrested her without presenting an search warrant.

Details regarding the reasons for her arrest and the charges against her remain unknown at this time.
