Faridoun Namdari and wife Sholeh Rouhi detained in violent raids

Faridoun Namdari, a 55-year-old Kurdish man from Sanandaj (Sine), and his wife, Sholeh Rouhi, were detained during violent raids by Intelligence Department forces and transferred to undisclosed locations.
According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, around 15 Intelligence Department forces raided Namdari’s workplace on Sunday, September 6, 2026, subjecting him to severe physical violence and degrading treatment before arresting him without presenting a warrant.
The forces subsequently raided the couple’s home, arrested Rouhi, and conducted a thorough search of the property.
Authorities have not disclosed the reasons for their arrests, the charges against them, or their whereabouts. Their families’ efforts to obtain information have so far been unsuccessful.
