Intelligence Department forces arrested Elham Alizadeh, also known as Soheila, a 30-year-old Kurdish woman from Mahabad, and transferred her to a security detention facility in Urmia.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Intelligence Department forces raided Alizadeh’s family home in Mahabad on Sunday, September 6, 2026, and arrested her without presenting a warrant.

Following her arrest, Alizadeh was transferred to an Intelligence Department detention facility in Urmia for interrogation, Hengaw has learned.

The reasons for her arrest, the charges against her, and her health condition remain unknown.
