Security forces use violence and deception to arrest two Kurds

Hossein Firouzi and Hiva Feyzi, two Kurdish men from Saqqez, were arrested by agents of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Intelligence Department by resorting to severe violence and deception.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Monday, December 2, 2024, Hiva Feyzi and Hossein Firouzi, residents of the village of “Molanava” in the Ziviyeh district of Saqqez, were arrested.

An informed source stated that, in an unlawful and deceitful act on the evening of Sunday, the Intelligence Department in Saqqez contacted Hiva Feyzi under the false pretext of offering a “loan from the governor’s office” and lured him to their office, where he was arrested en route.

Shortly after Hiva Feyzi’s arrest, intelligence agents raided the home of Hossein Firouzi in the village of Molanava and arrested him as well.

The intelligence agents resorted to violence during the operation, thoroughly searching Hossein Firouzi’s residence.

No precise information has been made available yet about the reasons for their arrests, the charges against them, or their current whereabouts.
