Kurdish man, Rahman Qaderi, sentenced to eight months in prison

Rahman Qaderi, a 25-year-old Kurdish individual from the village of Andizeh in Piranshahr, has been sentenced to eight months of imprisonment by the Iran judiciary on charges of "propaganda against the state."
According to a report received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Branch 102 of the Piranshahr Criminal Court issued the sentence following a trial held on December 5, 2024. The verdict was communicated to Qaderi on Sunday, December 8, 2024.
Informed sources stated that Qaderi was initially detained on Monday, August 12, 2024, after being summoned to the Piranshahr Intelligence Office. Following 90 days in detention, he was temporarily released on November 9, 2024, upon posting bail of 500 million tomans.
