Hazhar Soltani, a Kurdish resident of Bukan, has been sentenced to six months in prison by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

According to information received by Hengaw Human Rights Organization, Branch 104 of the Bukan Revolutionary Court convicted Soltani on charges of “propaganda against the state.”

Hazhar Soltani was originally arrested on Sunday, October 6, 2024, by Intelligence Ministry agents who did not present an arrest warrant. After eight days in detention, he was released on bail on October 13, awaiting the conclusion of judicial proceedings.
