Two Kurdish teens arrested by security forces in Mahabad

Two 17-year-old Kurdish teenagers from Mahabad, identified as Rezgar Moloudi and Kamyar Izadi, have been arrested by security forces.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the arrests occurred on Tuesday, December 31, 2024. Both minors, residents of the village of Sehulan in Mahabad County, were summoned to the Intelligence Office in Mahabad before being arrested and relocated to the detention center in Urmia.
Sources indicate that on Monday, December 30, 2024, Intelligence Office forces raided the homes of the parents of the two individuals, conducting thorough searches of their residences.
Efforts by the families to obtain information regarding the fate and condition of Rezgar Moloudi and Kamyar Izadi have so far been unsuccessful.
