Arzhin Jondi, 16, held incommunicado following arrest in Piranshahr

Iranian authorities have held Arzhin Jondi, a 16-year-old Kurdish child from Piranshahr, without contact for four days following his arrest, withholding information about his whereabouts and the charges against him.
Based on information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Intelligence Department forces raided Jondi’s family home in the village of Kuper (Kawpar), Piranshahr, on Friday, September 11, 2026, and arrested him without presenting a warrant.
Authorities have not disclosed the reasons for his arrest, the charges against him, or his place of detention, and his family’s efforts to obtain information have been unsuccessful.
