Erfan Khazaei was a Kurdish man from the city of Kangavar, Kermanshah Province, who was killed by Iranian government forces at the beginning of protests in Shahriyar, Tehran.

According to the report received by the Hengaw Human Rights Organization, 30-year-old Erfan Khazaei was killed by direct fire from Iranian government forces on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, during the popular uprising in Shahriyar city of Tehran province.

According to one of the relatives of Erfan Khazai's family, Erfan Khazai died immediately after being shot in the head by a bullet from the Iranian government forces.

Erfan Khazaei's body was buried kilometers away from his hometown in a cemetery in Shahriyar.

Also, the Iranian government forces used violence during his 40th-day death anniversary, which was held on October 31, 2022, and attacked the participants.
