Three Balochs arrested in Zahedan, Khash and Nimruz

Amid a continuing wave of arrests in Sistan and Baluchestan, at least three Balochs, including an 18-year-old man, have been arrested by Iranian security forces in the cities of Zahedan, Khash and Nimruz.

According to information obtained by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, 23-year-old Hamidollah Mazarzehi, a married father of two, was arrested by government forces on Azadi Street in Zahedan on Monday, June 1, 2026, without the presentation of a warrant.

On the same day, Afshin Karamzehi, 30, a married father of two from Khash, was arrested by Intelligence Ministry forces during a raid on his family home. According to reports, security agents did not present any warrant at the time of his arrest.

Earlier, on Sunday, May 31, 2026, Intelligence Ministry forces raided a family home in the village of Sefidabeh, in Nimruz County, and arrested 18-year-old Benyamin Brahoui.

No information has been made available regarding the reasons for the arrests, the charges against the detainees, or their whereabouts. Repeated efforts by their families to obtain information have so far been unsuccessful.
