Three people, including a minor, received prison terms and 74 lashes

Parsa Karimi and Kianush Azami, as well as Arshia Barzin, a teenager from Javanrud, were sentenced to imprisonment and flogging by the Islamic revolutionary court in this city.

According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, in recent days, the Islamic Revolutionary Court in Javanrud has sentenced Arshia Barzin, a citizen under the age of 18, from this city to 3 years of imprisonment and 74 lashes.

Also, this court has sentenced Parsa Karimi to one year of imprisonment and 74 lashes and Kianush Azami to ten months of imprisonment and 74 lashes.

The specifics of the charges brought against these persons have not yet been made public in full.

These civilians were detained by government authorities during the recent popular resistance and uprising in the city of Javanrud, but they were later temporarily released on bail until the court hearing.
