Muhyaddin Ebrahimi, a Kurdish political prisoner from Oshnavieh who is sentenced to death, has been transferred from the political ward of Urmia Central Prison to solitary confinement, and there is a possibility that this political prisoner's death sentence will be carried out secretly.

According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, the Kurdish political prisoner Muhyaddin Ebrahimi was transferred to the solitary cell of Urmia Central Prison along with several other prisoners who are sentenced to death. As the sentences have been issued, this political prisoner faces the prospect of execution.

Muhyaddin Ebrahimi, 43 years old and from the village of "Alkawi" in Oshnavieh, was shot, injured, and arrested by the Iranian forces stationed at the "Mimazarteh" base in Oshnavieh on Saturday, November 4, 2017, while he was Kolbar.

This citizen was sentenced to death by the second branch of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Court in Urmia in August 2017 on the charge of "collaboration and membership in the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan."

Muhyaddin Ebrahimi was sentenced to death for the second time on Saturday, January 28, 2020, by the second branch of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Court in Urmia, headed by Judge Shikhlo, on charges of "treason and membership in the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan."

Muhyaddin Ebrahimi, who is married and the father of a disabled child, was also arrested by the security forces in 2011 and imprisoned for 14 months on the charge of being a member of the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan.
