The death sentences of at least three prisoners named Fathollah Jorkesh, Nouri Zamani, and Hossein Ali Koutahi were carried out in Isfahan Central Prison. The executed individuals had been previously sentenced to death on charges related to drug-related offenses.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on the morning of Saturday, January 20, 2024, the death sentences of Fathollah Jorkesh, 30, from Isfahan, Nouri Zamani, 32, from Lahijan, and Hossein Ali Koutahi were implemented in the central prison (Dastgerd) of Isfahan.

As reported by the Iran Human Rights Organization, these three prisoners had previously been sentenced to death in separate cases by the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Notably, as of the time of this report, there has been no official announcement of the execution of these three prisoners in government-sanctioned media outlets, particularly those aligned with the judiciary.
