Sakineh Parvaneh, a Kurdish former political prisoner from Qochan who was recently pardoned and released from prison, has been arrested again in Tehran by government forces.

According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on the afternoon of Tuesday, March 7, 2023, Sakineh Parvaneh, a 31-year-old from Qochan, was arrested by government forces at the home of one of her friends in Tehran.

According to an informed source, this citizen was transferred to an unknown place after her arrest, and her fate is unknown.

On February 15, 2023, Sakineh Parvaneh was released from Vakil Abad prison in Mashhad while serving the fourth year of her sentence.

She was arrested on Friday, February 7, 2020, while returning from the Kurdistan Region by the forces of the Intelligence Department in Sanandaj and was transferred to the detention center of the Ministry of Intelligence known as Ward 209 of Evin Prison in Tehran.

On Sunday, May 17, 2020, this political prisoner was sentenced by the 26th branch of the Tehran Revolution Court to 5 years of imprisonment and banned from joining political groups and organizations for 2 years.

After her arrest, she was imprisoned in Marivan, Sanandaj, Tehran, Evin Prison, Qarchak Prison, Varamin, and Qochan Intelligence Detention Centers, and during this time she went on hunger strike several times.
