Chemical attacks on schools continue; at least 19 cases of organized attacks in one single day
At least 19 cases of chemical attacks on schools in Iran have bee one case in each of Ardebil, Karaj, and Urmia.

At least 19 cases of chemical attacks on schools in Iran have been reported today, with five cases in Tehran and four cases in Kermanshah (Kermashan). Three cases were reported in each of the cities of Saqqez, Ahvaz, and Eslamshahr, and one case in each of Ardebil, Karaj, and Urmia.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Tuesday, 18th of April 2023, the girls' schools of Ghias, Abarar, Shohaday-e-Makki, Pardis, and Shahed in Tehran were subjected to chemical attacks.
During these attacks, the principal of the Shahed School in Tehran held the students in their classrooms for two hours and prevented them from contacting their parents.
In Kermanshah, the attacks were carried out at the Esmatiyeh High School, the Dana Elementary School (Nasr), the Effat School in Dowlatabad, and the Fardshadfar Elementary School in Elahiye Courthouse.
In Eslamshahr, Tehran Province, the Saipa School was attacked, and several students were poisoned and transferred to the "Khomeini" Hospital in the city. The Niyayesh Girls' School was another attacked school in this city.
These organized chemical attacks also continued at the Kowsar Girls' High School on Kurdistan Boulevard in Saqqez, as well as at the Iman Girls' Middle School and Turkman 2 Boys' Elementary School which led to some students being poisoned.
Two more cases of these organized chemical attacks were reported from Ahvaz and the girls' schools of Kowsar and Setayesh in this city, which also resulted in some students being poisoned.
Other targeted schools were the Tahzib Girls' School in Karaj, the Baharan Girls' School in Ardebil, and the Hadaf Girls' High School in the mother square of Urmia resulted in the poisoning of several students.
During the attack on the Hadaf school in Urmia, more than 20 students with symptoms of poisoning and severe breath issues were taken to the hospital by three ambulances.
Yesterday, Monday, April 17th, at least 20 schools were subjected to chemical attacks in the cities of Tehran, Bukan, Gilan-e Gharb, Karaj, Tabriz, Khoram Abad, Dezful, Esfahan, Saqqez, Urmia, Sanandaj, Ravansar and Kermashan.
