Eight Baloch men remain disappeared after violent arrests in Taftan

Six days after the violent arrest of eight Baloch men from Chah Ahmad village in Taftan County, their whereabouts and condition remain unknown.
According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Iranian government forces raided the family homes of Hamid Shahbakhsh, 30, Kamran Shahbakhsh, 27, Habib Shahbakhsh, 25, Saeid Shahbakhsh, 30, Akbar Shahbakhsh, 47, Naser Shahbakhsh, 32, Mohammad Shahbakhsh, and another man also named Saeid Shahbakhsh in Chah Ahmad village, Taftan County, on Tuesday, July 28, 2026. The forces used violence during the raids and arrested all eight men without warrants.
The eight men were subsequently transferred to an undisclosed location. Despite repeated inquiries by their families, Iran's security and judicial authorities have refused to disclose their whereabouts or provide any information about their condition.
