Hassan Daroftade, the father of Komar Daroftade, a 16-year-old teenager who was fatally shot by Iranian government forces during the Jin, Jîyan, Azadî movement in Piranshahr, has been held in custody by Iranian government forces for several hours and has faced threats aimed at preventing the commemoration of his late son's birthday.
 

According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization For Human Rights, On Saturday, August 12, 2023, Hassan Daroftade, the plaintiff’s father from Piranshahr, was detained and subjected to a five-hour interrogation subsequent to receiving a summons by the Revolutionary Guards' intelligence.
 

According to the information provided by a family relative of the Daroftade family, Hassan Daroftade was cautioned by IRGC intelligence four days prior to August 16, the birthday of Komar Daroftade, that any commemorative ceremony on this date would be deemed prohibited.
 

It is important to mention that Hassan Daroftade was released following approximately five hours of interrogation, during which he experienced pressure and threats from the intelligence division of the Piranshahr Revolutionary Guards.
 

Komar Daroftade, a 16-year-old from Piranshahr, lost his life when he was fatally shot by Iranian government forces at a distance of three meters during the popular protests in Piranshahr on the evening of Sunday, October 30, 2022.
