Hemin Manijeh and Hossein Yousefi held incommunicado after arrests in Bukan

Iranian security forces have arrested two Kurdish men, Hemin Manijeh and Hossein Yousefi, in separate incidents in Bukan. Both were taken to undisclosed locations and remain incommunicado.

According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Intelligence Department forces arrested Manijeh, a Bukan resident, in the early hours of Monday, August 17, 2026, without presenting a warrant.

Yousefi was arrested on Saturday, August 15, when Intelligence Department forces raided his home in Mirawa village, Bukan County.

Both men have been denied access to legal counsel, family visits, and phone calls, while their families’ efforts to obtain information about them have been unsuccessful.

Authorities have not disclosed the reasons for their arrests, any charges against them, or their places of detention.
