The death penalty of a Kurdish inmate identified as Jalil Soleymani, from Kangavar city, was implemented in Hamaden central prison. This inmate faced capital punishment for drug-related crime charges.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, the death penalty of a Kurdish inmate identified as Jalil Soleymani, residing in Tuyserkan city, was carried out in Hamadan central prison. In preparation for the verdict execution, this inmate was transported to solitary confinement on Sunday, January 14, 2024.

Based on Hengaw's sources, Jalil Soleymani was apprehended for drug-related crime accusations three years ago and eventually convicted of capital punishment by the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
