Death Sentence of Two Prisoners Executed the Prisons of Iran

The execution sentence of two Turkish individuals identified as Sohrab Rafieian and Morteza Azimi was carried out in Zanjan Central Prison. These individuals had previously been sentenced to death on charges related to drug-related crimes.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on April 28, 2024, the execution sentences of 35-year-old Sohrab Rafieian and 40-year-old Morteza Azimi, both residents of Zanjan, were carried out in the central prison of this city.

As per trusted sources, these two individuals were arrested three years ago on charges related to drug-related crime and were sentenced to death in a joint case by the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
