Child Kurdish Kolbar Aryan Memandi Blinded in One Eye by Iranian Border Forces

Aryan Memandi, a 17-year-old kolbar, was severely injured in the face and both eyes by direct shooting from the border forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran stationed at the borders of Sardasht, West Azerbaijan (Urmia) Province. He has been transferred to medical centers in Tabriz, where he subsequently lost one of his eyes.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Aryan Memandi, a 17-year-old kolbar from Savan, a part of Sardasht, was critically wounded in the face by close-range shotgun fire by border forces while engaging in transporting goods at the Sardasht border on Friday, May 3, 2024, and has lost one of his eyes.
According to informed sources, Aryan has been transferred to medical centers in Tabriz for treatment, and his health state is reported to be critical and deteriorating.
