Death Sentence of a Kurdish Prisoner Implemented in Iranian Prisons

The capital punishment of a Kurdish prisoner, Reza Ghobadi, hailing from Dorudfaraman (Doroo Paraman) rural district in Kermanshah (Kermashan) province, was implemented at the central prison of Shiraz.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the death sentence of Reza Ghobadi, 40 years old, from Kermanshah, was carried out on May 14, 2024, at the central prison of Shiraz (Adel Abad Prison).

An informed source stated that this individual was arrested five years ago on drug-related charges and was subsequently sentenced to death by the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

As of the time of the release of this news, the government media, particularly those that are affiliated with the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran, have not covered this execution.
