Four executions carried out in silence across multiple Iranian prisons

The death sentences of four prisoners—including two Kurdish and Turkish individuals—were carried out in the central prisons of Kermanshah, Arak, Qom, and Zanjan, without any official announcement from state-affiliated media. The individuals, identified as Navid Rostami, Hossein Akbari, Mahmoud Shirbeygi, and Abolfazl Shakeri, had previously been convicted on charges related to drug offenses and premeditated murder.
According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, early hours on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, Rostami, a Kurdish prisoner from Kermanshah, was executed in the city’s central prison. He had been arrested six years earlier on charges of premeditated murder and sentenced to death.
On Sunday, July 27, Akbari, 50, was executed in Arak Central Prison. He had been arrested three years ago on drug-related charges and sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary.
That same day, Shirbeygi, a 30-year-old resident of Shahriar near Tehran, was executed in Qom Central Prison. He had also been arrested three years earlier for drug trafficking and later sentenced to death.
On Saturday, July 26, Shakeri, a Turkish prisoner from Zanjan, was executed in the city’s central prison. He had been arrested six years earlier on charges of premeditated murder and later sentenced to death by the judiciary.
The executions of these four individuals have not been reported by state media or outlets affiliated with the Iranian judiciary.
