Three prisoners executed in Hamedan and Kermanshah Prisons

Death sentence of three prisoners in separate incidents carried out at Hamedan Central Prison and Kermanshah’s Dizelabad Prison. The executions have not been reported by state-affiliated media.
According to information obtained by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Wednesday, July 23, two prisoners, Jabbar Alishahi, 30, a Lor man from Khorramabad, and Ashkan Mahdipanah from Hamedan, were executed at Hamedan Central Prison. Both men had been arrested four years earlier in unrelated cases on drug-related charges and sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary.
A day earlier, at dawn on Tuesday, July 22, authorities at Dizelabad Prison in Kermanshah executed Morteza Khorrami, a Kurdish prisoner from Kermanshah. Khorrami had been arrested two years ago on charges of premeditated murder of a military officer and was later sentenced to death.
The judiciary and state-run media have not released any information regarding these executions.
