Detention of Two Baha'i Adherents by Iranian Security Forces

Two Baha'i adherents, identified as Nazila Khanipour and Vesal Heravi, residing in Rasht, were arrested by security forces and transferred to an undisclosed location.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights Organization, on May 28, 2024, Nazila Khanipour and her daughter, Vesal Heravi, were arrested without any judicial warrant during a raid by Intelligence Department forces on their private residence and workplace. These individuals were subsequently transferred to an undisclosed location.

Trusted sources indicate that the security forces searched these individuals'homes and confiscated several items, including their mobile phones.

Nazila Khanipour has a prior record of detention by the Intelligence Department forces, and Vesal Heravi was expelled from his academic studies by direct order of the mentioned security agency.
