Wave of Baha’i arrests continues: Sahba Mohammadi detained in Birjand

Sahba Mohammadi, a 25-year-old Baha’i adherent from Birjand in South Khorasan Province, was arrested by agents of the Ministry of Intelligence and taken to an undisclosed location. The arrest was reportedly carried out in a threatening and intimidating manner.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the arrest took place at 7 a.m. on Saturday, June 28, 2025.

Hengaw has learned that the intelligence agents entered Mohammadi’s home without a warrant, seizing her laptop, mobile phone, and several books during the raid.

This incident is part of a growing and concerning wave of repression targeting Iran’s Baha’i community, including arrests, interrogations, and the fabrication of legal cases.

No information is available regarding the charges against her, the reasons for her arrest, or her current whereabouts.
